Client Brief

For this project, we worked closely with our client to deliver the Stage 4 Mechanical and Electrical design for the refurbishment of an existing building into a new 43-bedroom social housing development.

The project required careful planning to upgrade and integrate existing services while ensuring compliance with building regulations, energy efficiency, and tenant comfort. Coordination with the client, contractors, and design teams was key to delivering a high-quality, cost-effective solution.

What We Did 

Our team provided a comprehensive M&E design and support package, including:

  • Initial site survey and assessment of existing services
  • Disconnection and upgrades of gas and electrical utilities
  • Stage 4 Mechanical & Electrical design for the entire development
  • Ventilation and heating system design
  • Domestic hot and cold water services and above-ground drainage
  • Small power, data, and lighting systems
  • Fire alarm systems and containment solutions

To support smooth delivery, we also provided:

  • Construction phase monitoring to ensure designs were implemented correctly
  • Coordination and design team workshops for seamless integration of all services
