Client Brief
We are proud to have supported the delivery of a large-scale residential development comprising 86 dwellings, including a mix of 2, 3, and 4-bedroom homes alongside two apartment complexes. The project required a consistent and robust electrical strategy that could adapt to varying house types while accommodating the additional infrastructure demands of the apartment blocks.
What We Did
We provided the RIBA Stage 5 Electrical Design, delivering a fully coordinated and technically robust package for the entire development.
Our scope included:
- RIBA Stage 5 Electrical Design
- Sitewide services coordination
- Technical design calculations and interdisciplinary coordination
- External lighting design and proposals
- Technical submittals for plant and associated equipment
- Detailed cable calculations
- Production of 2D layouts and electrical schematics
To support construction and installation, we delivered:
- Fully detailed construction drawings ready for direct installation
- Accurate cable sizing calculations for compliance and performance
- Coordinated sitewide distribution strategies for multiple property types
- External lighting proposals aligned with planning and safety requirements
- Clear technical documentation for approvals and procurement
A key challenge on this project was managing the variation in property types across the site, ensuring electrical consistency while adapting layouts to suit differing dwelling configurations. Close coordination across the wider design team ensured infrastructure capacity, routing and distribution were efficiently integrated throughout the development.
This scheme demonstrates our capability in delivering technically robust, fully coordinated Stage 5 electrical designs for complex, multi-unit residential sites, supporting efficient installation and long-term operational performance.
